What your friends are playing

Music only. There is no text posting: the feed shows plays, albums finished, new releases and new favorites. Reply by sending a song.

Discover

Picks combine the artists you follow, what your friends are playing and your top 5. Half of every subscription goes to artists.

Find your next favorite

Browse by genre, style era and how many followers an artist has. Some of the best music is the music few people have heard yet.

Style era describes the sound, not the year. A band making new music can still play 90s-style punk or early 2000s-style pop punk.

All music

In a fresh random order each time you refresh, so every artist gets a turn. Your own new uploads stay first.

Stream records

Only streams from verified paying listeners count. Trial and unverified accounts are never counted. Each song counts once per listener per month, so replaying a song never adds to your count, and an album bonus is paid once per listener per album. If an account is found to be fake, mark it and its streams are removed from the record.

Support from listeners

One-time payments listeners send straight to you from your artist page. Table-Turn keeps a cut and pays the processing cost out of it.

Tour Fund

Let your followers back a tour. It needs at least 5 confirmed tour dates and must be open at least 30 days before your first show. The money is held until the day of your first show, so you pay for the tour up front and the fund helps cover the cost. You must confirm the day before and the day of your first show that the tour is still happening, or supporters are refunded in full.

Tour alerts

When a Tour Fund is holding money, we email and text you the day before and the day of your first show. You can answer three ways: the link in the email, a reply to the text, or the checkbox on your artist page.

Tour dates

Add your shows. Listeners see them on your artist page, and the venue name opens a map. After you add new dates, notify your followers.

Add a tour date

The venue name links to a map. An address helps listeners find the exact place. Without one, the map searches the venue name and city. A ticket link adds a Tickets button for listeners.

Items appear on your artist page. Fans buy from you, and you are responsible for shipping every order to their door. Table-Turn does not ship or handle merch. Shipping is calculated from the weight you enter and the buyer's destination, using USPS rates, and you keep it to cover postage.

Choose the sound your music is closest to, not the year you made it. New music can be 90s-style punk or early 2000s-style pop punk. This is shown on your artist page and used by Discover, so listeners who love that style can find you. You can change it any time.

    Made by musicians, for musicians

Table-Turn Streaming was started by a working musician who wanted a place where listeners pay for music and the money reaches the people who made it.

    Where your subscription goes

Half of every subscription, Listener or Artist, goes into the artist pool. The other half pays for running the service: streaming, support and the people who build it. Payment processing fees are paid out of Table-Turn's half, so they never reduce what goes to artists and nothing extra is added at checkout.

    How artists earn

    Stream share

Your plays earn a share of the artist pool, shown on your earnings dashboard.

    $2 album bonus

Paid each time a listener plays 80% of one of your albums. Starts once Table-Turn reaches 6,000 Listener and 6,000 Artist subscribers.

    $0.50 per follower

Paid for every follower, up to $60,000 a year. Starts once Table-Turn reaches 6,000 Listener and 6,000 Artist subscribers.

Right now the whole artist pool is paid out on streams. The two bonuses are switched off until Table-Turn has at least 6,000 Listener subscribers and at least 6,000 Artist subscribers. Once both are reached, the bonuses are paid from the artist pool along with the stream share.

Artists set their own prices for downloads and merch. Downloads start at for a Single and for an EP or Album, and merch at . Table-Turn keeps of download sales and of merch sales, and pays the card processing fee out of that cut, so the buyer pays the price the artist set. Merch also has shipping. It is worked out from USPS rates for the item's weight and where it is going, and it goes to the artist.

Artists ship their own merch. Table-Turn does not ship, store or handle merch. The artist who sells an item is responsible for shipping it to the buyer.

On many large platforms, artists receive a fraction of a cent per stream, often shared with labels and distributors. Here the pool is a fixed share of subscriptions, bonuses are added once the platform is big enough, and payouts go to artists through Stripe.

    Supporting artists directly

    Send support

As a subscriber you can send an artist a one-time payment from their page, on top of buying merch or downloads. About 85% goes to the artist.

    Tour Funds

An artist needs at least 5 confirmed tour dates and must keep a fund open for at least 30 days before their first show. Followers pledge, and nobody is charged unless the goal is reached. The money is held until the day of the first show, and the artist must confirm the day before and the day of that the tour is still happening, or every supporter is refunded in full.

    Support, not investment

Support and Tour Fund pledges are donations. They give you no ownership, profit share or financial return, and refunds are not guaranteed. The only exceptions are the Tour Fund cases above. Table-Turn can't guarantee that a tour will happen.

    Cancellations and refunds

    Cancel any time

You can cancel your subscription whenever you like from your profile. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

    Payments are not refundable

We don't refund payments, including part-used months, and downloads and merch are final sale. The exception is where the law gives you a right to a refund or a cooling-off period. Those rights always stay in place.

    Payment fees and local laws

Table-Turn pays the card processing fee out of its own half of each subscription. Nothing is added at checkout, so the price you see is the price you pay. Some places limit or ban extra card fees, so here is what we know:

    United States

Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine and Puerto Rico ban card surcharges. Several other states cap them or require specific disclosures, and card network rules add limits. The rules keep changing.

    United Kingdom

Since 13 January 2018, businesses can't add a fee for paying with most consumer credit or debit cards or online payment services.

    European Economic Area

Since 13 January 2018, adding a surcharge to consumer credit and debit card payments is illegal across the EEA.

    Australia

The Reserve Bank of Australia agreed to ban card surcharges from 1 October 2026.

This is general information, not legal advice. Laws differ by place and change over time.

How and when artists are paid

    Monthly installments

Payouts are made monthly, in installments rather than one lump sum, and only when the artist pool has enough funds to cover them.

    Verified listeners only

Every stream must come from someone with a valid ID and a valid bank account, verified through Stripe. If an account uses fake details, it may be reported and closed immediately, and its streams are removed from the record and don't count toward artist pay.

    One count per listener

Each song counts once per listener each month, and each album bonus is paid once per listener per album. Replaying a song or an album does not raise anyone's pay.

    How a stream is valued

Until Table-Turn has more than 100,000 paying subscribers, a counted stream is worth the artist pool divided by all counted streams. After that, every counted stream pays a fixed rate. In both cases a listener's streams are paid only from that listener's own subscription money, so the pool can never run short.

    Our rules

    Original music only

No AI-generated tracks and no bots. Every artist is verified with Stripe Identity.

    Music, not posts

There are no text posts or comments. You follow, share and send songs.

No outside ads, no free tier

New listeners get a free 24-hour trial, and you don't pay anything to start it. After that you need a subscription. Trial listening doesn't count toward artist pay. We don't sell ad space to brands. The only paid spots are promotions that artists buy, and they are always marked "Promoted" (see Promoted spots below).

    Fair discovery

Sometimes the best music is the music few people have heard. Discovery here is built so that an artist's follower count never decides the order of any list you browse. The only paid spots are promotions, which are always marked "Promoted" and explained below.

A new random order every refresh

In "Find your next favorite" on Discover, the artists in every genre, sub-genre, style era and follower-size choice are shuffled fresh each time you reload the page, and each choice gets its own order. The order holds while you browse, so flipping through the pages shows every artist once. You can still choose to look at smaller artists by picking a follower size, but inside that choice nobody is placed ahead of anyone else.

    The same fairness elsewhere

The genre lists in the Table-Turn Streaming menu, the All music grid, and the Friends are playing and New releases shelves use the same fresh shuffle. Music you upload yourself stays at the front of the shelves for you, because it really is the newest.

Where it is not random, and why

Picked for you uses your taste for its first five songs (the artists you follow, what your friends play and your top 5), then up to two promoted songs that fit your taste, and fills the rest with random discoveries. Find your next favorite can pin up to two promoted artists to the top of the first page. Featured artist of the month goes to whoever gained the most new followers that month. That is a result, not a list order.

    Promoted spots

Artists can pay to promote one song at a time, for up to 7 days. Promoted spots are the only paid placements on Table-Turn, and they are always marked "Promoted".

    What listeners should know

When you see "Promoted", the artist paid for that spot. The money goes to Table-Turn, not into the artist pool. If you play a promoted song and it counts as a stream, the artist is paid for it like any other stream. A promoted song can appear in Find your next favorite, in Picked for you, or as the song that plays right after one you started from either of those. You can skip any song, and you can block an artist from their page.

    What artists should know

Promotion payments are not refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. They are not shared with the artist pool and do not count toward your earnings. A campaign runs 1 to 7 days, covers one song and cannot be extended. If a promoted song is removed for breaking our rules, the campaign stops and is not refunded. Nothing is guaranteed: we cannot promise any number of streams or listens.

    How spots are given

Spots are handed out by a weighted random draw. A campaign's weight is what the artist paid, adjusted for how long it has been running: it is strongest on day one and halves about every two days. So higher-paying promotions are shown more often than lower-paying ones, and newer promotions are favored over ones that have been running for days. Promoted artists in Find your next favorite must still match the genre, style era and follower size the listener chose, and Picked for you only shows promoted songs in genres the listener already listens to.

    You choose what you hear

Table-Turn is built on open sharing. We don't judge music by taste or by whether someone finds it offensive, and we don't pick which artists you hear. You decide what you listen to.

    Your filter, your choice

If you never want to listen to an artist again, open their page and choose "I don't want to listen to music by this artist again". You will be asked to confirm and to type your password.

    It is permanent

This cannot be undone, and there are no other options. The only way to see that artist again is to delete your account and create a new one. It only changes what you see. It doesn't remove the artist for anyone else.

    What we do remove

Music that is not original, including AI-generated music, content that is illegal or stolen, and accounts that fake their identity or bank details.

    Reporting AI use

The only report option on a song is to report AI use. Reports are reviewed by our team, and music confirmed as AI-generated is removed.

Artists are responsible for the music they upload. Listeners are responsible for choosing what they listen to.

    A note from the founder

I'm a musician, and I know what it's like to watch a song get played again and again and see almost nothing come back. Table-Turn is the platform I wanted to be on, built with other musicians so that artists get a fair share and listeners find music they love.

    Company economics
